Dr. Krystal Hakkaart is a General Dentist practicing in the North Okanagan Valley. She graduated from the University of Sydney in 2021 with unique training in Clinical Teaching and Leadership. Krystal moved back to Vernon (where she was born and raised) to share her passion and skill with her hometown. Krystal makes every effort to stay on top of current trends and developments in dentistry. Her commitment to continuing education empowers her to better serve her patients’ distinctive wants and needs. She is passionate about utilizing innovative technology and digital integration to offer the highest level of service, and deliver exceptional quality care wrapped in a gentle touch that results in an overall comfortable experience. 

Krystal’s knowledge by learning from her peers, colleagues, and front-runners in their field(s) has fostered a strong growth mindset and desire to do and be better. Advancements in dental technology are bringing new ways to diagnose conditions and plan treatments more efficiently than ever before. It has become easier for our industry to elevate the patient experience and create a positive outcome.

This approach has allowed her to truly “implement it all” in practice and she has included CEREC restorations, hard and soft tissue lasers, airway and sleep treatments, infant and pediatric care, clear aligners, 3D printing, and CBCT integration into treatment options and planning. She is excited and dedicated to providing the best in dental services, technology, and experience to her patients, her peers, and her local community. In her spare time, Dr. Hakkaart loves to spend time outdoors with her husband and two dogs.

Dr. Neil was born in Richmond, BC, and lived in several communities before graduating high school in Calgary. He received his dental degree in 1996 from the University of Alberta and began practicing in Airdrie immediately after graduation. Neil joined his wife Vicki at Airdrie Dental Studio when they started their family. Fast forward a few years, and four children later (3 Girls 19, 16, and 13, and 1 Boy 18). Dr. Neil finds himself spending part of his time in the Okanagan so he can cheer his daughter on (16) as she excels in her mission to play hockey at an elevated level.  In his time away from dentistry, he enjoys time exploring the outdoors and enjoying the Okanagan lifestyle with his wife, children, and two dogs.

Dr. Ullas Kapoor was born in New Delhi, India but moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan with his family at the young age of 7 months. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Physiology from the University of Saskatchewan in 2010. He then went on to pursue his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the College of Dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan in 2014.

Dr. Kapoor is very passionate about dentistry and is very motivated to expand his knowledge. He is a graduate of the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle, Washington. This program has furthered his knowledge and skill in all clinical areas of dentistry including gums, teeth, and bite problems with a focus on prevention. Dr. Kapoor is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a tech-savvy individual, so staying up to date with the latest technology and techniques to provide exceptional care to patients is of utmost importance to him. He enjoys the surgical aspects of dentistry focusing on surgical extractions, implant placement, and bone grafting. He has a special interest in orthodontics, having completed his Invisalign certification as well as Inman Appliance certification.

After spending a bit of time in the Okanagan, Dr. Ullas fell in love with all that this beautiful valley has to offer. In 2021 he sold both of his practices in Saskatchewan and moved West to Kelowna. When not fueling his passion for dentistry and continuing education, Ullas enjoys working out, golfing, playing basketball, watching TV and movies, and traveling. He is an avid fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Chicago Bulls, and Seattle Seahawks.

Dr. Eric Van Bergeyk graduated from UBC Dentistry in 2012 and has enjoyed many aspects of the dental profession. Dr. Van Bergeyk is committed to pursuing excellence and continues to expand his education in the areas of emerging dental technology. Dr. Eric enjoys the use of various technologies here at Elevate Dental to provide quality dental care with a gentle, patient-centered approach.

Before entering dental school, Eric worked for Canadian Airlines as an aircraft structural technician, repairing and maintaining Boeing 737 aircraft. Eric enjoys weight training, golf and hiking in the summer, and skiing in the winter months. Having grown up in the Shuswap/Okanagan region during his younger years, Dr. Eric is now excited to return home to the Vernon area and is proud to provide exceptional dental care at Elevate Dental.

Born and raised in Revelstoke, BC, Valerie knew at a very early age that Dentistry was for her. Her passion for helping people and genuine curiosity started at a very young and she has been working in a dental office since she was 13 years old. After graduating from the College of the Rockies in 2004, Valerie hit the ground running and said yes to every opportunity that came her way including moving to the Okanagan in 2007. Valerie has worked as a Certified Dental and Orthodontic Assistant, Dental Administration and Patient Care, Dental Technology Sales and Digital Technology Integration Specialist across Canada and the US, and in Dental Consulting/Training and Practice Management.

Valerie is a huge asset to our patients and our team with the knowledge and experience she brings. She is dedicated, direct, driven, outgoing, bubbly, positive, and fun. Valerie loves to travel and is up for any adventure. She is a lover of all things fast, loud, and exciting. Valerie enjoys many outdoor activities and riding her motorcycle. She finds her calm with yoga and fitness and pursues whatever she is passionate about in life which is currently real estate and business when not here in office.
